Ace: If you're an enemy, I hope you know I will kill you, right?

Cryptic: EO? What are YOU doing back here? And more importantly, what are you doing with these crazies?

EO: I'm here to take out some CS agents. And to rescue my other...

Cryptic: *takes several more shots at Brady and Naomi*

DJ: Are you guys ok?

Brady: Oh man! We're going down...I swore we weren't doing down of Gaea Rift and here we are!

Naomi: *wraps arms around Brady as tight as she can* Brady! What's going on? That noise! Am I the only one who can hear it? DJ! You're engine's sputtering!

Brady: What’s your next move?

Cryptic: Ha, you'll never defeat them! Why don't you just give up now?

EO: You're with them?!

Cryptic: Hahahahaha! You're so pathetic, Iul. See ya later! *flies off*

DJ: Oh no!

EO: *jumps off bike* DJ, jump off your bike to over here! I'll catch you! Hanna, can you help some of the others?

Brady: Ok! *pants snag on bike* Oh no! No no no no no no no no NOOOO! Hang ooon, Naomi!!!

Naomi: Aaaaaah! Why here?!

Ace: I have to help them! I'm going after 'em! If I don't get back, it's over! Coming with me?

Hanna: *Jumps off and catches Hairam* Ace!

DJ: *jumps off bike* EO! You'd better catch me!

EO: Yeah, I know. *glides over to DJ and catches him*

DJ: Thanks...

EO: Whatever. *turns toward Ace* I'll do what I can, ok?

Ace: Braaaaady!!!!

Brady: AAAAh!!!

Naomi: *petrified* *pants*

Ace: *catches Naomi* Gotcha! Hanna? *looks up*

Hanna: *Carrying Hairam* Ace! How can I help?

EO: DJ! Take this set of backup wings and get to the other side. NOW!

DJ: Ok, if you say so. *takes set of wings and flies to other side*

EO: I'm coming Ace! Hang in there, ok?

Hanna: *Flies to the other side and drops off Hairam* Um.... DJ.... Where's Misty?!

DJ: Misty? Now that you mention it, I don't think I've seen her since the village.

EO: *flies over to Brady* Hang in there! *cuts Brady’s pant leg so he can escape the falling bike* Hold on to me!

DJ: What's with EO?

Hanna: I have no idea. He’s starting to creep me out. It's almost as if he... actually cares. That's what's weird.

DJ: Yeah, I know what you mean.

Hanna: *Shouts* EDJ! Need any help with Ace, Brady, and Naomi?

EO: I've got Brady. Can you and DJ take care of Ace and Naomi?

Hanna: Got it! *Swoops down at an incredible speed and catches Naomi* *Begins flying back to the other side* DJ, you got Ace?

DJ: Sure. *Dives down quite awkwardly and catches Ace* I think he's unconscious. What are we going to do about Misty?

Hanna: *Makes it to the top and places Naomi on the ground* *Waves hand in front of Naomi's face* Wow, I think she's in shock... Misty? Do you want me to check the other side? She should have been right behind us.

EO: Ha! You look funny flying with your armor on, DJ!

DJ: *rolls eyes, continues flying and drops Ace on the other side* Sure, if you want to. I don't think she could actually defend herself against the CS...

EO: Ha, she couldn't defend herself against a chipmunk! Should we just leave her for now?

Brady: Thanks everyone... It's weird...I could have sworn I saw lights down there...

Ace: Me too...almost like a big...city.

Brady: A city in the bottom of Gaea Rift...I had no idea Gaea Rift had a bottom… Hanna, thank God you're alright....these weird people keep popping up and making my mission harder and harder... Is Naomi okay?

Hanna: *Thinks* We should certainly thank God. I'm just fine. Naomi, on the other hand, seems to be in a state of shock. Naomi? *Shakes Naomi a little*

Naomi: ....unh..uhhh....where am I?

EO: You're on the other side of the Gaea Rift. I think you blacked out when your bike got shot down by Cryptic. He's gone off the deep end now.

DJ: Everybody alright?

Misty: *runs up panting* What happened?! My bike broke down back there so I stopped to fix it. I though it would only take a second but it's toast... *looks around* Look like yours are too. I saw smoke and ran as fast as I could. What happened?

DJ: An old acquaintance of EO's came and said hello by shooting down one of the bikes. Mine and Hanna's died over the Rift.

EO: How did you get on this side of the Rift anyway?

Misty: You didn't see that bridge back there? *points* Well, proly not since you were busy with whoever came by. Why did he shoot you guys down?

EO: I don't know...I guess he's working with the CS or something. I don't think he would actually be a member though. Perhaps just a mercenary or something like that...

Misty: Yeah maybe.

DJ: Bridge? I forgot about that...

Misty: Yup, bridge. But it's in really bad shape. What are we going to do with the bikes messed up?

EO: As long as those CS agents don't catch up to us yet, I don't really care. I'd rather not have to destroy them at the moment.

DJ: Shall we continue, if everyone's ready?

Misty: I'm ready.

EO: Good. I was going to get started without you all if we didn't leave soon. I know a cool place to rest, if we get there soon enough. I would imagine that it would still be here after only 5 years.

DJ: Where's Talon?

Misty: *looks around* Oh there he is. *points and you see him resting on a tree branch* Hup hup *holds out her arm and Talon lands on it* Ok we're ready. Where is this place?

EO: If I remember correctly, this is the Gaea Desert just ahead of us. On the other side of the desert should be the town Trovale. The Clocktower is on Trovale's seashore. Do you like deserts?

Misty: Not particularly. But I'll deal with it. And the place is the town, correct?

EO: No. The place we're entering now is the Desert. The town comes after the Desert. I thought I had already told you that... *sighs* Remind me why I'm helping you guys?

Misty: That's what I said. I was talking about this resting place you were talking about. Maybe I'm hearing things. And I'm not too sure of that. Maybe I'll think of it later though.

Brady: We have to go through a desert? I really wish the jet bikes hadn't died...

Ace: We'll we'd better get going. Are we just gonna walk?

Misty: I assume so, Ace. Do you have a better idea?

EO: Flying/walking sounds fine to me. I see. Misty, no, the place I was referring to was an oasis. But you didn't answer my question, did you?

Misty: Which one? The why are you helping us? Sure I did. I said, "And I'm not too sure of that. Maybe I'll think of it later though." Why are you helping us?

EO: You figure it out for yourself. *flies off, but slow enough so that he can still be seen*

DJ: Sorry about him.

Misty: You don't need to be sorry. He's an evil other, not your fault.

DJ: So are we going to follow him to that oasis he was talking about?

Misty: I guess so. What do you think Hanna?

Hanna: Umm... sure, I guess. I just don't really like hot sandy places all that much...

Misty: I hear you! But I think Naomi needs a rest. She looks pretty out of it. Oh I forgot to ask, did any of you get hurt in the crash?

DJ: No, I'm good. EO rescued me, strangely enough. Then he went back and rescued Brady. I don't know what's wrong with him.

Misty: ... that is strange. Not bad, but strange.

DJ: Need some water?

Misty: Oh ok, thanks. Why do you think he did that?

DJ: I'm not sure. It's almost as if going through the portal changed him. Hanna, didn't you say that you felt as if you had changed after going through the portal?

Hanna: Yeah, somewhat. I'm still not entirely sure how to explain it.

DJ: Perhaps that's what happened to EO. I'm not sure...he just seems so different now, as if he almost cares.

Hanna: Maybe he's developing a conscience.... nah that can't be it.

DJ: Unlikely. But you know what the scary thing is?

Misty: No, what is the scary thing?

DJ: The scary thing is that I'm beginning to trust him.

Hanna: Pfft, I don't! Not after everything he’s done before we got here.

Ace: I have an EO for a little brother...NEVER do that...

Brady: that IS scary...

DJ: Yeah, I know. But I can't help it after he saved my life. And yours too, Brady.

Naomi: *in her own little world* Grrr...I'm outta water...why is it so hot here? This is not my kind of place.....I'm hungry... I don't think I should eat these salted peanuts, do you?

Misty: Here's some water *hands Naomi water*

Naomi: Ahh, thank you. ^_^

Misty: Want something to eat?

DJ: Sure, I wouldn't mind something to eat.

Misty: Ok, I've got *peeks in bag* sandwiches, fruit and some cold pizza. What would you like?

DJ: Cold pizza sounds good, if that's ok.

EO: *suddenly slows down and glides over to Misty* Me too. What kind is it?

Misty: Let's see *digs down in bag* I have cheese and pepperoni. Which one?

EO: Cheese, if you don't mind...

Hanna: You brought cold pizza??? Not that I want any, it's just.... interesting.

Misty: Well, I had some before I left and stuck the rest in here. I figured better not waste it. Ok, so maybe I'm just weird. Ok here ya go. *hands slice to EDJ* Are we ready?

DJ: Ace, how big is this desert anyway?

Ace: Pretty big...and the only way to it is through the Jinn Plateau. After a recent earthquake that place is gonna be nightmare-ish...

Naomi: ....Wait, you said we're going over Jinn Plateau... that place is scary...I hear it's so high up that you can hardly breath...not to mention it's dark as night there all day long. There's also a spooky graveyard on the summit said to hold the barrows of past kings of Thorae...

Brady: Joy....can't we just take the bridge they built around it?

Ace: Like I said... there was an earthquake...knocked the bridge straight out. That's why we haven't seen to many CS goons around here. Usually this area is just crawling with them.

Brady: Right, I completely forgot... Are you sure that's where we're gonna go?

EO: Interesting.

DJ: So we have to go straight through it?

Hanna: Wow, sounds fun!

Brady, Ace, and Naomi: *sweatdrop* uhh...

Naomi: Wow, I guess it's your kinda place...

Ace: Yeah, just so long as we don't go inside...then even YOU couldn't stand it.

Hanna: *Smirks* Try me.

Ace: Ok, I will...The inside is filled with a magma core that would burn you to crisp...not to mention drain all your powers 100%... How’s that?

Misty: ... And explain to me why are we going there?!?!

EO: Probably wouldn't bother me too much.

Hanna: Magma, huh? Yes, that would be a slight disadvantage.... I'm still willing to try.

EO: Wow...this sounds like fun!

Misty: Ok well might as well get it over with. Ready?

Hanna: Definitely.

Misty: Ok *gulp* let's go.

EO: I'll lead us in. Although we can't do it until we actually get there, which we're not yet. We still have a little ways to travel before we reach the Plateau... Ok?

Misty: Umm... ok whatever. How long do you think it will take?

EO: Half an hour to an hour...depends on how fast we go, really. Can you guys wait that long to burn to a crisp?

Misty: Well, I'm not particularly happy about being burned to a crisp, so I can wait. Can you?

EO: I won't burn to a crisp going through there. I actually have a plan...what that is, I refuse to say, so don't even bother asking. Wait and find out. *gets up and keeps flying some more*

DJ: He can be a pain sometimes, can't he?

Misty: Yes he can. Did you ever get your pizza?

DJ: Yeah, I did. Thanks, by the way. We kinda got busy there for a bit.

Misty: No problem.

DJ: Oh, and EO's telling me to say thanks for him as well. ESP... You wouldn't happen to have an apple in there, would you?

Misty: Let me check. *digs around in bag* Yeah, here you go. Why do you think EO is helping us?

DJ: To be honest I... hold on, he's ESPing me again. Ok, he says to stop asking that question already. Sorry about that.

Misty: *rolls eyes* Ok, fine.

DJ: It's weird how he can do that, isn't it?

Misty: *reaches into bag while talking* yeah it's really strange. *pulls out bar type of thing. Breaks off piece and gives it to Talon. Then strokes his head* There you go. *looks back at DJ* How do you guys do that anyway?

DJ: From what I understand, only others can do it with each other. In a sense, we're still connected somewhat mentally, if not physically. As to how it actually works, I don't entirely know. We've always been able to do it, although until we met in Thorae, we hadn't done it since our fight. Can you do it with your other?

Misty: To tell the honest truth, I've never tried. I don't really talk with Eve, that's her name, that often. Most of the time I just hang with Talon or go do something like this. What do you do in your spare time?

DJ: Me or EO?

Misty: You, as in DJ, you.

DJ: Well, I do a lot of training with my spear. Almost 3 hours a day, actually. I play some chess, and some other strategy games. I also do some running/hiking. How about you?

Misty: That's pretty neat. Well, I'll train Talon for about an hour or two a day. I'll practice my archery to keep me up to speed and I'll gather herbs that I can use for my archery. As for hobbies, I play guitar and do photography. Also reading is a big one. That's about it really. What about EO?

EO: *Slows down to talk to Misty* Me? I train with my swords and magic arts for about two hours a day. I do some videogames, and I can play an Ocarina pretty good. I read a lot...I can't really think of much. Why do you ask?

Misty: Just trying to make conversation. And I can't think of anything else to say. Is that a problem?

Unknown voice: Stop!! You cannot go any further.

Hanna: Huh?

Unknown voice: *A young pretty, yet slightly creepy, lady walks up* I said you cannot go any further until you let me tell you your destinies! You there! *points to Hanna* You have journeyed here for love!! What about you?! *points to Hairam* I see great evil in your presence! You will destroy us all! And you, *points to EDJ* Do I see romance between you and the one with the strange cat ears?!

*Takes a crystal ball out of bag and looks deeply into it*

Unknown girl: Ah, I see the reflection of a beautiful young girl!! ... with slightly untidy hair *takes out a comb and combs her own hair* Anyway, *puts away comb and looks into ball again* I see a person in pain...stuck in some sort of portal or mirror. Now I see an arrow, it travels for miles. Wait, something is attached to it! Some type of chain or necklace... you have lost a companion and evil takes her place. Oh well. *puts away crystal ball* that will be 2,000 Rupees please!!!

Hanna: *uneasily* You are out of your mind lady. Besides, why would we pay for such a bogus fortune in which we never agreed to anyway?! It's not like it was even right! *blushes slightly* Not in the least!!

Unknown lady: First of all, the name is Christina! Secondly, it's not a bogus fortune! You're just jealous because I'm pretty! I mean, look at you! What are you, gothic? I'm not too sure about catwoman over there either. She's only what, 16? She looks a hundred years old!

Hanna: *Shock* Get out of here before I freeze you!

Misty: *blink, blink* Well, this is err... awkward. I don't think we have 2,000 Rupees, but I do have some cold pizza, want that instead?

Christina: Cold pizza?

Misty: Ok, ok. I have some turkey or ham sandwiches in here. How about those?

Christina: Cheapskate!! No one's got money here?!?!

Hanna: I don't understand you at all.

Christina: I know! If you give me the bird, I'll let you go.

Hanna: Let us go?! Hah, you're more delusional than I thought. You and what army?

Misty: You even thought for a moment that I would just give you Talon?!? The nerve of some people! And what Hanna said! You and what army?

Christina: Oooooh, cool name for my new bird. What's the name again? Bacon? Turkey?

Hanna: Back off, Barbie!

Misty: You take one step toward him and *whips out bow and arrow at lightning speed and aims it at Christina* I don't think you want to be stepping towards him... do you?

EO: How about 3,000 Rupees, and you never show your face in front of me again?

Christina: *Walks off without another word*

EO: Or not...I guess she's not interested. That was strange. She had me way off...

Misty: *watches Christina as she goes* *thinks for a bit and finally lowers bow but doesn't put it away.* That was one strange person.

Hanna: Wow, she left just like that?!

Hairam: *Talks to herself* Go ahead and try

DJ: What was she talking about with the arrow?

Hairam: Just forget it! It's not important!

Hanna: Are you all right? You've been acting strangely ever since that fight with Ember...

EO: Who, me?

Hanna: No not you, even though you are acting weird... I was talking about Hairam.

Misty: Hanna, can I talk to you? *whispers to Hanna* I've been wondering, are you sure as in absolutely positive, this is Hairam? What if it's Ember? I mean she has been acting weird and that weird lady said something about evil. What do you think?

Hanna: *Sigh* No... I'm not sure. I don't know any more...

EO: *leans in to hear Misty and Hanna* *whispers* What are you talking about? You have to include me too...

Misty: *lightly shoves EO* *whispers* Hey, and what makes you think I have to include you?

Hanna: How RUDE, EDJ!!!!!

EO: *still whispering* No need to yell...

Misty: *rolls eyes* Fine, I guess. As long as you DON'T say a word to anyone! Alright?

Hairam: *Walks up* What are you guys talking about?

Misty: Nothin. You guys ready to continue?

Hairam: *Disturbed look on face and takes three steps back* *An arrow lands in the ground right where she was once standing*

Hanna: ...... Whoa. That can't be what I think it is.....

Misty: That wasn't me. What was that?

Hanna: Hairam.... isn't that one of your arrows?

Hairam: No. There are a lot of arrows like mine! It's obvious that we're just being ambushed!

Hanna: It's one arrow. If we were being ambushed, there would be a storm of arrows. I thought you personalized your arrows as well.

Hairam: ...... um.... uh, hey, what's that thing on it?

Hanna: Huh? *Looks at arrow* That's....that's the necklace I gave you a few years ago.....isn't it?

Misty: Umm... guys. What's going on?

Hanna: What Christina said.... it's true, isn't it? "lost a companion and evil takes her place" *Draws sword* You're not Hairam, are you?!

Hairam: Of course I'm Hairam! Ember apparently hired somebody! It's a setup! Really!

Misty: Ummm... guys, let's stay calm ok? Now, if you *points at Hairam* are Ember, then I think that the real Hairam shot that arrow. Right?

Hanna: Certainly! Hairam would never take that necklace off, unless it was for something really important! Ember, what have you done with Hairam!!!

Hairam: But I AM Hairam! Why won't you believe me?!

Misty: Hanna, why don't you just ask her something that only Hairam would know?

Hanna: Oh, right, good idea. Hmm.... Where is my favorite place to go when I'm upset?

Hairam: What kind of dumb question is that?!

Misty: Hairam, I'm sad to say, but it's not looking to good for you. Just answer the question. Kay?

EO: Haha, this is pathetic. It's obviously Ember. *Draws Fire Sword and points it at fake Hairam*

DJ: How can you tell?

Misty: EO, don't jump to conclusions! It just might be Hairam. And if it's not, wouldn't killing Ember kill Hairam as well?

EO: Who said I was going to kill Ember? I didn't even attack her and you guys think I'm going to kill her! Wow...whose side are you on?

Hanna: Our own! *Turns attention back to Hairam* Ember, what have you done with Hairam?!

Hairam: I'm not Ember!

Hanna: Cut it out already!!! Where is she?!!

Naomi: This must be that Ember person who delayed us.... *Hands blaze* Lemme take out on you the anger that Christina gave me! Who WAS that back there, anyway?

EO: I'm about ready to attack you if you don't give it up, Ember. Start talking now!

DJ: *pulls out prototype telescoping spear* Is this really necessary?

Misty: WAIT! *pauses* What if it is Hairam? Maybe this isn't Ember! *turns to Hanna and DJ* Guys, remember when we were at the cafeteria at HQ, and when Hanna came close to Ember she kinda freaked and left? Well, if this was Ember wouldn't she be trying to avoid you, Hanna? Because she would think you could tell the difference! And what if, in the fight that they had, Ember took Hairam's necklace and an arrow or two just so this would happen? So that we would think she *points at Hairam/Ember* is Ember and kill her? Besides, if this was Ember, wouldn't she have gotten really mad by now and then started fighting?

EO: Enough. *walks away*

Misty: Woah, major mood swings. DJ, is he always like this?

DJ: I believe him.

Misty: You believe what? Sorry, I just think, that I'm just major confused at the moment.

DJ: That's ok. I meant that I believe EO. I think it's Ember... You don't?

Misty: I'm not sure anymore. I kinda do, but at the same time I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. I mean, after I thought about what happened with Ember at the cafeteria then I just wasn't sure anymore.

Naomi: Explain what’s going on here! NOW!

Brady: So we are having disputes, eh? How should we see if it really is Hairam?

Hairam: Heh, the ugly catwoman's confused. Did you fall off a building and land on your head or did a truck run over your face instead?

Misty: Ok, I am not confused anymore. Thank you Ember for saying that!

Hanna: No doubt about it, that's Ember... That was also a very bad move on her part...

Naomi: You weren't calling ME ugly, were you?! I'll make you eat those words! Can I thrash her now?

Hanna: We have to find out what she's done with Hairam first!

Misty: And how should we do that? Well, we could find out where that arrow was shot from. It's a start.

Naomi: Whatever! Besides, she’s just JEALOUS! Isn't that right you no good little...

Ember: Jealous?! Of you?!! You're the one with the big nose and googly eyes! In a Miss Ugly pageant you'd win first prize!!

Hanna: We're not debating who's uglier here!!! We're trying to find Hairam!!!

Misty: *sigh* Did anyone listen to what I just said?! I said, why don't we find out who shot the arrow. And the only way to do that is to go where the arrow was shot from! It can't be far. And you can tell which direction it was because of the way it is in the ground! Does anyone agree?

Naomi: I do NOT agree! I say we beat this punk first! THEN deal with the stupid arrow! And you must have some serious eyesight problems if you think I have a big nose, little miss skeleton!

Misty: *shakes head* NAOMI! Is all you care about is what Ember says?! Just ignore that! We won't get anywhere if you two just keep arguing about noses! Now, we can't, I repeat CAN'T beat her first because we need her to find Hairam. So just chill. Ok?

Ember: Skeleton? Is that what you think? You're just fat! Besides, those specialized arrows can travel pretty far. Weren't you listening to Christina?

Misty: So what if they can travel far. It's a start anyway. It's better then trying to attempt getting something out of you.

Hanna: Tell us what happened after she fought you!

Ember: Why? You afraid she's dead?

Hanna: *Suddenly grabs Ember and pins her on the ground* Tell me where she is! NOW!!!

Ember: Or what, is the ice princess gonna have a temper tantrum?

Brady: *classic anime sweatdrop* YOU sir, are a nutcase.

Ace: I believe it's a girl...

Brady: *shrugs nonchalantly* Whoops, my bad. *smirks*

Naomi: *Chuckles*

Ace: If you don't tell us where Hairam is, I will have to kill you.

Ember: It doesn't matter anymore anyway. She probably IS dead by now.

Hanna: *eyes briefly flash red* LIAR!!!!!

Misty: Wait, but I thought that is you kill one other the other one dies? Am I wrong there?

Brady: Wrong indeed. Ace: You are really becoming a hindrance to our mission...

Misty: Who's becoming a hindrance? Me??

Ace: Nah, not you. EMBER.

Misty: Oh ok, good. I was thinkin...

Brady: I have an idea...wanna hear it?

Misty: I'm not sure, but I have the feeling you are going to tell us anyway.

Brady: Yeah, I am! Here it is...What if Ember never existed?....

Misty: What kinda weird idea is that?! What do you mean never existed?!

Ember: ..... Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!! That IS weird!

Brady: I mean obviously if she didn't exist in the past, she wouldn't exist in the present. What if one was to go back in time and make sure that Ember never, you know...happened?

Misty: And how is that supposed to happen?

Hanna: I don't know, but Ember happened because of me! If I hadn't made such a big deal about my evil, maybe Hairam never would have had a problem with hers! Ember escaped because of me! Hairam is gone... *quietly* because of me....

Ember: *smiles* Yup, I'm sure that's it. Hairam couldn't take all the pressure and so she suddenly split and it's all your fault!

Misty: Don't listen to her Hanna! Maybe you had something to do with it, but that doesn't mean you should feel like it's all your fault. Besides, remember when Hairam saw you here? I don't think she blames you for *ahem* *points at Ember* for this.

Brady: We can go back in time and change this...we can get rid of Ember!

Naomi: No! I wanna get her myself! What's the plan?

DJ: Hey, I've got to go calm EO down before he does something really irrational. You guys deal with Ember in whichever way you desire. I've got a mad evil other to catch. *runs after EO*

Brady: Okay, later!

Ace: But--wait! I--

Brady: He'll be back before we reach the plateau. What should we do?

Mysterious character: Hello. Can I be of assistance?

Brady: Sure just--wait... Err...where did you come from just now?

Mysterious Character: I appeared out of thin air. Does that bother you? Anyway, what sort of service do you need? You may consider me a mercenary.

Ace: WHAT?! You're just gonna--

Brady: --Sounds fine to me! We need to defeat this girl over here. What fees do you charge?

Mysterious Character: Depends on what it is you want done. But I'll be satisfied with a base rate of 50 Rupees for now. We can negotiate later, depending on how long I'm in your service. About the girl, she looks pretty defeated already. What do you need me to do?

Misty: Not that girl. The other one. *points at Ember* And how can we trust you?

Mysterious Character: Yeah. She's being subdued by the other girl, is she not? The one you call Hanna? My trustworthiness must not be called into question, or I shall be forced to kill you all.

Misty: Ummm... Could you repeat that last part? Oh yeah, that really makes me feel better. *rolls eyes*

Misty: I guess, but it's just kinda weird. The last time I saw her was a few days ago. Before I left to help Hanna and them. Why?

Mysterious Character: Really? This is interesting...I'll have to take that into consideration. You probably want to know my name, don't you?

Misty: Why is it so interesting? Has she done anything?! Oh yeah. What is your name anyway?

Mysterious Character: I'm not allowed to tell you what Eve has been doing. It would be against the rules. My name is Zione. Have you heard of me?

Misty: Hey! She's my other so you better tell me!

Zione: Like I said, it would be against the rules.

DJ: I think that Ace rescued her, but lost the phone in the process. That's my guess, anyway... *has another sudden cold chill* Aaaaaahhhh!!! EO?

Hanna: EDJ!! We know you're here!! *Draws ice sword* Show yourself, you vile snake!!!

Ace: *huff huff* *out of breath* Hanna! DJ! Misty! Run!

Brady: Get back here, you little....

Naomi: *runs on all fours faster than Brady, Ace, and Hairam* *approaches Hanna* Let's go. Good job, you're almost out of the forest... Are you mad Ace didn't answer his phone?


Misty: 1. Why do we have to run? And 2. How did you he didn't answer?

Naomi: He found me, duh. And run...because of that! *Points down the forest trail to a giant monster weeping willow tree trying to grab whoever gets near it* That's what grabbed me! And he's somehow moving his roots! Let's get outta here, no?! *runs*

Misty: ... Ok, sorry. Must have missed that! *runs* *huff, huff* Where... are... we... going? *huff*

Naomi: Anywhere that's NOT here!

Ace: And away from this pest *huff huff* *gestures to Brady*

Brady: I have way more stamina than you, Ace. I'm gonna run you down like a WOLF!

Naomi: Brady....do you think he'll be alright?

Misty: Well, I don't even know who he is, so I have no idea! But proly. Who is he anyway?

Ace: He's my original. He's trying to capture me and put me back inside his body. I think he wants his fantastic leadership skills back. But what he doesn't know is that I'm trying to help you all find Lui, so we can put an end to Thorae once and for all, so every other will go back inside their originals. That's who he is, and why he wants me. His capturing me would just hinder the search for Lui, and I don't want that. So let's get moving to Latum Village and get some motor-bikes. We can leave him in the dust.

Naomi: Did you hear that? It sounded like yelling. It's probably just my imagination again...

Hanna: *near the front of the group* I didn't hear it. Then again, I don't have cat ears...

Hairam: *in the back of the group* What?! I'm helping some loser get his cooler other inside him? First EDJ, now Brady. Why do I keep helping all the losers?

*EO, who flies overhead, far enough away so that he cannot be caught, but close enough to be heard*

EO: Losers? I resent that!!!! What are you doing here in Thorae? Did Lui get sent here?

Hairam: I came here looking for you! Remember?! And you lied to me!

Hanna: DJ, I think I heard your EO!

EO: Ah yes, Hairam! I'm glad to see you found Hanna safe and sound. As you can obviously tell, I didn't kill her. Or anyone else, for that matter... Hanna! DJ!! How are you? It's been a while, hasn't it?

Hanna: EDJ! Long time no see, not long enough unfortunately. What are you doing here?

Hairam: Hanna?....Hanna!!!!

Hanna: *turns around and finally sees Hairam* *Eyes widen* Tangerine?!

Misty: Tangerine? huh? Somehow I have the feeling I missed something.

Hanna: You missed nothing. She is Tangerine as I am Blackberry.

Hairam: Hanna!!! I thought you were dead!!! *runs up and hugs Hanna*

Hanna: I...I know. *Hangs head in shame* I knew that you thought I was dead. I didn't do anything. I'm sorry. *Turns away*

Hairam: Don't be sorry. You didn't do anything wrong! It must have been something really important, right?

Ace: She went to rescue her friends from EDJ. *double takes* Wha? You?

Brady: Come on, Ace. Give it up.

Brady: There is another reason I'm here, you know that right?

Brady: You people DO know that I'm not here to get Ace back...right?

Hanna: ...um... he told us a lot of things.... What in particular were you referring to?

Brady: What did he tell you pertaining to the reason I'm here?

Hanna: If I remember right, something along the lines of getting all others back into their originals.... oh, and something about you wanting your leadership skills back. Care to explain the situation?

Brady: Dang it! Why do these guys keep following me? Huh? Oh. Right. No that's wrong. Listen, umm...the reason I came here is to stop you guys from trying to destroy Thorae. It will get you all killed. Rescue Lui and get out. I don't want you here. Do you understand?

Hanna: Believe me, that last thing I want to do is destroy this place and kill myself. Do you think I'm here because I want to be? I only came to get Lui out. That's it. Once he's safe, I'm gone. Who's following you?

Brady: Some loser confederacy. And that's not the reason you will die. Even getting Lui out might become risky.... the creator of Thorae lies in wait for you. You seem pretty uncaring for a person who is in a life or death situation. Will you let me go with you? Just until you get Lui out...then...then I'll make sure nothing bad happens to...never mind. Hanna: *Narrows eyes* Uncaring?! You have no idea how much I care for his safety... Come along if you wish, doesn't mean I won't kill you the second I find out if you've double-crossed us. Why is Thorae's creator against us?

Misty: *frustrated* Come on guys! Here *pulls something out of bag* Here. Both of you take a happy pill!! Now then... *camly* Are we better now? *then frustrated... again* And Brady, who ever you are, stop making these people argue! Hanna is very caring about Lui. You wouldn't believe what she's been through! *breathes out* There I said it.

Hanna: *Relaxes a bit and takes a deep breath* Sorry Misty. I shouldn't have become angered so easily. I'm okay now. Just...don't make me take that pill. Please?

Misty: That's ok. I guess I'm just a little on edge right now. You don't have to take it. Brady on the other hand...

Hairam: *Smiles* Thanks Misty!! *Suddenly stops and listens carefully* *Shivers*

Misty: Err... you’re welcome. I don't know what I'm being thanked for though. haha *stops mid-laugh*What's wrong?

Hairam: *Whispers* She's here........

Hanna: Huh? Who's here?

Hairam: Ember…

Hanna: What?! Now Ember's here too?!

Hairam: I couldn't tell earlier because of all the distraction. She's invisible, but she's here. I think she's been here the whole time.

Hanna: Augh! We've been leading her to the portal the whole time?!?!

Misty: Oh brother. This can't be happening!! grrrrr.... What now?!

Hanna: Umm... yeah. See, we kinda bumped into her a while back.....and kinda almost... um...killed her?

Ember’s voice from a distance: Hahahaha, you couldn't kill me even if you wanted to!

Hanna: Where is she?!

Misty: Ummmmm.... *stutters* Ha..Hanna. She's right behind you! Look out!

Hanna: Huh? *Spins around and ducks just in time, as Ember was about to slash her head off*

Ember: Hey there, losers! Miss me? *Vanishes*

Hanna: Grrrrr.... Hairam! Where is she?

Hairam: She's going to attack from where you least expect it! I'll try to find her. *disappears*

Misty: *lets out breath she didn't know she was holding* Wow, that was close! Where did Hairam go?

Hanna: She can see things other people can't while she's invisible. She should be able to see Ember.

Ember: Bwahahahahahahah!!!!!!! You'll never find me!!!!

Misty: That's interesting. Think she'll find Ember?

Hanna: Positive.

*A tree suddenly catches fire*

Hanna: Yup, I think it's safe to say she found her...

Misty: *blink, blink*... Shouldn't we get away from that tree??

Hanna: Not really. *freezes enough of the tree to put the fire out* See, no problem. Hairam! If you need anything just...um...uh... well, I'm here if you need me.

Misty: Oh I see. Forgot about that. See, I'm pretty lame so I forget about that stuff.

Hanna: You're not lame.

Misty: Err... maybe if you just did a ton of icy snow everywhere around where she's at it would freeze Ember. Think that would work?

Hanna: Eh, I don't think that would work. It would take a HUGE amount of energy to do it.

*An arrow suddenly flies between Hanna and Misty and hits a tree behind them*

Hanna: WHOAH!! Watch your aim, Hairam!!! You're gonna kill someone!!!

Hairam: *reappears and falls to the ground panting* It's not like I can help it!!

Hanna: *Rushes over* You all right?

Hairam: Yeah, I'm fine.

Hanna: *Helps Hairam to her feet* You don't look fine.

Brady: You guys are funny. Here. Let me create an electric current in the air so when she vanishes next it'll warp her right to us. Simple as that. *Waves hand quickly* There. No problem. And answering your earlier question, the creator of Thorae is against us because when we rescue Lui from the portal, it will shut the portal down. You people really have no idea, do you?

Ace: You're being very rude, Brady. So you say you're not here for me?

Brady: ...No. *solemn* Hey Hanna, will you forgive me? I mean, for being rude earlier...I'm not usually like this. I've been through a lot for the past four years and...I'm just so anxious to put an end to all this. Please...forgive me.

Hanna: I understand. You're forgiven. I also apologize for my behavior. I was...harsh. *Kind smile* I appreciate your help. Umm... you wouldn't happen to know how Lui got in that portal to begin with, would you?

Brady: *starts happily* Well, yeah it's textbook stuff and I--um....yeah...I mean...Ace just, uuhhh told me, you know. I ummm, yeah.

Naomi: What's wrong with you?

Brady: Uhh, nothing it’s just I uh think we should go. We can't take too long or the Clockwork Syndication will catch us. You see?

Ace: *shakes head* I totally forgot about them...They've been kinda dormant.

Brady: *addresses Hanna's party* The Clockwork Syndication is who we need to focus on taking out at the moment. They currently possess the west gate which Lui is in. All we have to is go to The Clocktower and stop their leader, Daigen.

Ace: You make it sound easier than it is. Care to have the situation explained to a full extent? Or are you content with the short version?

Misty: I guess the full extent. As long as it won't take more then 20 min... It won't right?

EO: It better not...I've got other things to deal with. Heh. Besides, I don't think they would be too happy about seeing me again after the last time I was here...

DJ: EO, why are you willing to help us now, after everything that's already happened?

EO: Let's just say that the CS and I have had some quarrels in the past...I'd rather not go into particular details if it's possible. Anyway, I don't mind coming along, if you all don't mind. Is that ok with you?

Hanna: As long as DJ can keep me from breaking your limbs, I think we'll be just fine. Why did you come here anyway?

EO: That's a good question...I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. Perhaps I wanted a little revenge on the CS...perhaps I just wanted to have someone to talk to for a while. But anyway, that doesn't really matter. Do you think the CS will recognize me after 5 years?

Hanna: Unless that has anything to do with the whole portal situation, I don't really care.

Hairam: *to EO* Why did you lie to me?

EO: Sorry, old habit. Besides, once you said that you thought I had killed Hanna, I couldn't tell you that it was me! I apologize for that though. So, we're supposed to go to the West Gate and then the Clocktower, right?

Hanna: I'm not entirely sure, perhaps. Wait, you're SORRY for lying?!?! Hah! As if!!

EO: Hmmph...fine then, don't believe me. Whatever, I don't really care, nor do I expect you to believe me anyway. Nevertheless, I am trustworthy.

DJ: I never told you the story about EO being here, did I?

Misty: No you didn't. It's not a long one though is it?

DJ: Long enough for while we're waiting for Brady, Ace, and Naomi...

EO: It's not important, really. It's more time-consuming than it is interesting...

DJ: Want to hear it?

Misty: Why not. Ok, what is it?

EO: Fine. DJ, you tell her.

DJ: Ok, EO. Originally, it was just me (EO and Lui weren't around yet). I'm not sure exactly how EO and I split, but it happened. You remember me talking about the big argument EO and I had?

Misty: Maybe, sort of. But continue.

DJ: Well, anyway, after that fight, EO and I went our separate ways. Somehow, through some treachery by companions of his, he was banished to Thorae by some evil magic. Go ahead, EO.

EO: Fine. After that, I discovered what I believed to be an abandoned area, and claimed it as my own. Little did I know that this land actually belonged to the organization, the Clockwork Syndicate. It was on the other side of the West Gate... But anyway, they told me to get off the land or they would attack me. When I resisted, about 20 of them ganged up on me and attacked me, setting fire to the building I was in. I was captured and held for about 3 months, at which time I was sentenced and banished from Thorae. I was sent to Earth, ironically...

DJ: Pretty crazy, isn't it?

Ace: Now it makes sense...

Brady: Right! And then... never mind... Are we taking EDJ with us?

EO: I'm coming with you. I don't really care if you don't like it either. So, are we ready to go?

Brady: Yeah, we are... Ok...we'll make a quick stop to get some jet bikes in Latum Village, if nobody minds. We can increase our pace like that.

Ace: Sounds fine to me.

Brady: Be careful, though... Latum Village is known for its ruffian population, so be on your toes.

Ace: The village is about four miles from here.

Naomi: *sigh* It's that far? I forgot...

Brady: It'll be fine if we leave now.

Ace: I get enough of evil others from Jester, ok, EDJ? Please stay out of my way...

Brady: I have no protest to him coming along...let's get going.

EO: Fine Ace, I'll try not to be too annoying.

Brady: Have any of you any experience with Jet Bikes?

EO: Yes...they were almost brand-new when I was first banished here. I found one and tried it out, although it's been quite a while now.

DJ: No. Are they hard to operate?

Misty: Nah, it just takes a bit to get used to. For one thing they are off the ground. Basically like a motorcycle in the air. But you know, are we trying to not be seen when we get to the tower thing? If so, I don't think we should take the bikes, since they are quite loud.

EO: We have to get to the gate first, then the tower... But anyway, I think we can get mufflers for them to keep them quiet. And besides, we need to get away from the CS agents chasing us...for now. Sound ok to you?

Misty: Yup, sounds fine. Let's see what Hanna thinks though. ok?

Brady: Actually I know a guy who can get us bikes with never-before-released advanced mufflers already installed on them. They are quite silent. And they are not hard too operate. They come with a handy manual with, like, two pages. Where did Hanna go?

Hanna: Hmm…? I'm here. Just... thinking. *Looks at Hairam with concern* Are you sure you're ok?

Hairam: Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired from that fight, I guess.

Hanna: If you insist.... *turns attention to Brady* What do we do when we actually get to this clock place?

EO: 1. Find out how to rescue Lui. 2. Beat the life out of those CS agents.

Ace: Actually, yes.

Brady: Clocktower is on the Northwest coast, it acts as a lighthouse as well for incoming ships from over seas...

Ace: I shudder to think of those other continents out there...

Brady: I'm sorry this couldn't be a simple task for you, Hanna...This will be over soon enough. Where will you be going to on Earth when we are finished?

Hanna: …haven’t decided... Why do we have to beat the life out of the CS guys?

EO: BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahem...sorry about that. I guess I won't force you to if you'd rather not...

Misty: One question, if we *ahem* beat the life out of the CS agents, would that destroy this place? And all the others?

Brady: No. It will simply let us rescue Lui. Why do you ask?

Misty: Because I thought you said that earlier. Brady, you said that Ace stole something from you. Did he?

Brady: Yes, but it doesn't concern you. It's between Ace and I now.

Misty: ... Ok, just trying to help. And understand you two!

Naomi: Hey will you put these over there? *hands Misty a bag*

Misty: Ummmm... What is it? *peeks in bag* And over where?

Naomi: Hey, don't look in it! Just put it under that tree for the time being...thanks.

Misty: Well, you could tell me what’s in it you know! What is in it anyway?

Brady: Whatcha got there in that bag Misty?

Misty: *holds bag in one hand (the one Naomi gave her) and has one over shoulder (her own) while looking confused* Which one?

Brady: The one you're holding.

Misty: How should know?! Naomi won't tell me.

Ace: Are you hiding something?

Misty: Why would I be hiding something? It's Naomi who won't tell what's in the bag!

Brady: Oh, that's Naomi's bag? Sorry. I didn't know.

Misty: *rolls eyes* That's ok.

Brady: Why do you have Naomi's bag?

Misty: Because she handed it to me. Maybe you can get her to say what's in it. Think it's possible?

Ace: I'll try... Lady Naomi?

Naomi: What's in that bag Misty has?

Ace: *Gripping arm* She says it's personal...ow... She needs you to put it somewhere cause she's going to search for some plants.

Brady: You think we should look inside it anyways?

Misty: *looks to see if she's gone* If she's gone now yeah! Wow, did she burn your arm, Ace?

Ace: Wow I guess so, I thought she just punched it...I hope there's a bandage in that bag...

Misty: I have one in my bag. One second. *pulls out a few herbs and a bandage. mixes the herbs together* Here let me see it. *yanks Ace's arm* Whoops, sorry bout that. This might sting a little *puts the herb mixture on the cut and then the bandage* There, it should feel better soon.

Misty: Yup, no problem.

Brady: I will look in the bag and show you if there is anything of interest, how does that sound?

Misty: Hey, why do you get to look in it? She gave it to me. How about we ALL look in it?

Hanna: *Acts like she doesn't care, but looks over anyway*

Misty: Just this, this... thing. *pulls out gadget* Does it look familiar to you?

Misty: ... *keeps holding and looking at gadget* What is it? Yeah a piece of paper. Hey! It says what it is. Would you read it, Ace?

Brady: Hey! Naomi's diary is in here! Will you read it?

Brady: It doesn't belong with her! *thinks* Dang it, Misty you're gonna blow my cover! *desperate look* Please?

Misty: How do I know it belongs to you? You haven't given me any reason for me to think it belongs to you! Why can't you just tell me what it is?

Misty: Well, I have some stuff in my bag, we could use that or grab something. I have stuff more... err... earth-like though. Do we have to pay for the bikes?

Brady: I don't pay for anything around here...

Ace: There's the village down this hill.

*party sees a small, yet advanced town at the foot of the hill*

Ace: It's not much, but it'll get us what we need.

Brady: I think I'll just grab a few sandwiches from my fridge. I have a timeshare here. Don't worry it's on the way to the bike shop. What size helmet are you?

Misty: Medium. I'll... *stops mid-sentence* *whispers* he found me. How? *addresses Brady and Ace* I'll meet you down there ok? *runs in forest without waiting for answer*

Brady: *carefree* Meh. *shouts* OKAY SEE YA LATER!

Ace: What? What's goin' on?!

Brady: I don't know, but she can hold her own. She says she'll meet us in the village. I'm not worried.

Ace: Not so fast...

Brady: The CS is still after me. As long as I'm here this party is a prime target for attacks. Let's just go.

Misty: *Running* *shouts* TALON! TALON! Where are you boy? *spots a falcon in a tree* Talon! How did you find me? Anywho, I'm glad you're here. You can help me and Hanna and them. Let's go. *holds her arm out* Hup, hup *Talon flies onto her arm. She pets him* Good boy. Now let's go find the others. *walks back to the village*

Brady: What do you think she was talkin' about, though?

Hanna: I don't know. It seems like everyone either has someone after them or are trying to find someone else.

Ace: I'm not looking for anyone. Nor is anyone after me. In fact, I'm on rather friendly terms with the CS.

Brady: You ARE?!...

Ace: Ummm, yeah.

Brady: Well that may come in handy. Anyway, please step right this way into my lovely timeshare condo. Are you sure you aren't hungry?

Hanna: ...maybe.... Why, got anything good to eat?

Brady: Depends on your view of good. What do you like?

Hanna: Borscht, if you have any clue of what that even is. Fruit is fine though. Do you have any green apples?

Misty: *walks into village* Now let’s see. He said he had a time share condo. And knowing Brady he probably has a really big one. So hmmm.... *walks around some* Well there's the bike shop. He said it was close by, so I guess *squints* There it is. *walks up and knocks on Brady's door* *knock, knock* Brady?

Hanna: *Opens door* Hey Misty. You found it. What did you run off for?

Misty: This. *holds out arm to show the falcon* This is Talon. Normally he says at home, but I would have been home by now. So he found me. Don't ask me how. *Talon flies off her arm and finds a spot on the couch*

*looks over Hanna's shoulder* I see Brady fell asleep in the fridge. I guess we should move him huh?

Hanna: Go ahead. Need any help?

Misty: *tugs at him* Yes, he sleeps like a rock, both mentally and physically. Where should we put him?

Hanna: Anywhere I guess. So, what should we do? Drag him or something?

Brady: *Wakes up* Hmmm? What? Sorry, I haven't had any sleep for the past three and a half days... Oh yeah...I got fruit...uhh...I have one red apple, a green apple, two oranges, a few pares, one bunch of grapes...Tell you what, why don't I just make one big fruit salad? *pulls out duplicator* Feel free to talk amongst yourselves. *flashes from kitchen and chopping sounds* We don't have much time but, uh...go ahead and have some...I already ate.

Misty: Oh, thanks. *takes some and eats. Gives some to Talon*

Brady: Where do you think Ace went?

Misty: *looks around* He's not here? That's strange. Maybe he went to get the bikes?

Hanna: How should I know? I'm not his baby-sitter.

Misty: Yeah Brady, you're his other. Shouldn't you know where he is? And where did Naomi go?

Brady: No need to get all hostile, Hanna. I was merely inquiring. It's no big deal. I'm sure he'll show his face around here soon enough... Everybody all set?

Hairam: I'm ready, but where's Mace?

Hanna: If you're talking about Jester, he stayed behind. * suddenly stops and turns to Hairam* What...what did you just call him?

Brady: What? What are you talking about? Who's Mace?

Hanna: I think she meant Jester...

Hairam: Is that his name? Oh, yeah.

Hanna: *Looks at Hairam suspiciously* Hmm.... It's probably nothing... *continues walking* Let's go.

Misty: And hopefully we'll see Naomi as well. Come Talon. *Talon flies onto her arm* What's the matter Hanna? *to Hairam* You're sure you're ok?

Hanna: It’s nothing for you to worry about. Let's just get out of here, okay?

Brady: *shrugs* Oh well... The bike shop is right around the corner... *Suddenly changes moods to a more melancholy tone* I hope he's here... Will you leave that bird out here, Misty? I don't think he's allowed in here. *Gestures to a “no pets allowed” sign*

Misty: Ummm... I... hmmmmmm... I guess. I'll leave him at your house. I don't want anything to happen to him. Be right back. *runs off to house*
*comes back a few minutes later* Ok, ready?

Brady: *mumbles* This is more than I bargained for, chief...*sigh* Let's go in. Hey, Lanny? You here?

*weird warp noise*

Gruff voice: *loud stumbling and crashing* Oh! Yeah! Hold on! I'll be right there! Dang these boxes! *Comes to front desk* What can I do yeh for, mah good man?

Brady: Lanny, it's me...Brady? You know...

Lanny: Brady?! Oh, you really did come! Oh, sorry I'm late...I didn't recognize you. My, you've grown!

Brady: We need, uh...seven jet bikes...

Lanny: Seven? Chief didn't say you needed THAT many! I only got six customs here!

Brady: We picked up an unexpected guest. Okay, just give me what you've got. I guess Naomi and I can share a bike or something...

Lanny: Heh, I've, uhh heard about 'er! You've been makin' quite the interesting tale!

Brady: You guys would all prefer helmets right?

Misty: Yeah. Who's chief?

Brady: He's uhh...an old friend...

Lanny: Yeah, we just call him chief...like a term of endearment kinda thing. eheh.

Brady: *nervously* Anyway it's not important. You got those bikes now, Lanny?

Lanny: Yep. They're right out back.

Brady: Great. Thanks, man. This helps a lot.

Lanny: Believe me, I'd hate to be in your situation. *walks into back room and then silence*

Brady: Let's go, okay?

Misty: OK whatever. How are we going to find Ace and Naomi?

Brady: They'll be here. Naomi knows where to meet us and Ace I'm sure just went to run some errands. Though I haven't seen DJ lately, either. Where do you think HE ran off to?

Misty: DJ's right here. He's been following us. He just looks deep in thought. Ready?

Ace: Ready.

Brady: Where did you come from?

Ace: I was out...

Brady: Okay, I'll take it....*hops on bike* Everyone all set?

Naomi: Sorry I'm late! Ok! Which bike is mine? *looks around and notices everyone's already on a jet bike* ...um...

Ace: You'll have to share a bike...Who has the biggest bike?

Brady: That would be....me.

Naomi: Oh, great...Whatever I didn't know how work one of these, anyway...*hops on bike behind Brady*

Brady: Ignition! Check! Manual override in gear...Let's do this. *determined smile flashes across his face* Bring it on! Everyone all set? Try not to fall behind, okay? heheheh! Yeah!

*Brady's bike takes off with amazing speed*

Naomi: Whaa!!—

EO: Wooooo! I had forgotten how much fun these things were!

DJ: Hey, these aren't too bad after all. And they are pretty quiet, actually. Sorry about me being so quiet. EO and I have been ESPing each other. Is that ok with you?

EO: As if it really matters what you think anyway...

Misty: ESPing? Whatever it is, it’s ok with me. So, we are headed in the right direction, right?

EO: ESP means Extra-Sensory Perception. We can sort of send each other messages without actually having to speak them. It only works with others...and it requires a lot of concentration. But yeah, this is the right way.

Misty: Oh, I see.

EO: By the way, the clock tower is awesome! One of the coolest places in all Thorae.

DJ: Are we gaining any time on the CS?

Misty: Well, I haven't see anyone... Wait I have an idea. Talon, go up and see if there is anyone following us. *Talon flies up* This may take a bit ok?

DJ: Ok.

EO: Or, I could fly up using the artificial wings built into this cape of mine...that might be faster. Want me to look ahead and let Talon look back for the CS?

Misty: Sure. That works. *looks up* See anything Talon? *Talon flies down and makes gestures* He "says" that there aren't people for miles. And they are walking. I think we are good. See anything EDJ?

EO: I wouldn't put it past them to have some sort of anti-tracking device to make them invisible from above...but yeah, I can see the Clocktower way off on the horizon. The West Gate isn't terribly far, maybe about an hour off still. Depends on how fast we push these things.

Misty: Ok. We'll keep our eyes open.

DJ: So Misty, did you have an Other? If you don't mind me asking…

EO: Yeah, I'm actually a bit curious myself...

Misty: ... Why do you ask?

DJ: Perhaps it would give us some insight into why you're so willing to help us. So?

Misty: *thinks then says* Yes, I do have an other. But we don't get along at all. She's an evil other like you, EDJ. In fact, she's a lot like you. She's the whole reason I live here. Yes, I used to live on Earth. Minnasota in fact. See, about a year ago she *shudders* *gulp* killed my sister, Enya. Or at least I think she did. I've never seen Enya since the huge fight we, had. It... hurt. Very badly. I've always blamed her. I didn't want her to hurt anyone else. So we came here. I live here so I can keep an eye on her. And the reason I'm helping you is because... *glances at EDJ* is because I don't want anyone else to hurt the way I did. By their others. *sigh* It's my goal in life I guess. *looks up at DJ not mad, but more sad* Anything else you want to know?

DJ: Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that. I'll definitely do my best to help if the situation ever arises.

EO: Touching. Let's keep going now, ok?

Ace: Yeah.

EO: Enough talk...

DJ: Sorry about him. He's more of an introvert anyway...

EO: Only if I want to be, DJ.

DJ: *ignores EO* So Brady, what's the plan?

Brady: *yelling over the sound of the wind rushing passed his ears* We keep going until these jet bikes give out! Then we get to clocktower and take out General Diagan!

DJ: Ok, sounds like a plan, however under-thought out it may be at this point.

Naomi: *clinging to Brady, wide-eyed* S-slow down!

Ace: We are coming up to Gaea Rift now! What's the plan?

DJ: What happens if they give out over the Gaea Rift?

Brady: I'd like to think they're more durable than that!

Naomi: Oh, man, now I'm scared! Why'd you have to say that DJ?!

EO: I put it into his mind to say it. You know, through ESP... Besides, I can fly over it without these bikes.

DJ: Yeah, but what about the rest of us?

EO: Oh...that's true. Well, Hanna can fly, can't she?

Ace: Yes, she can.

Hanna: Certainly, I just can't carry all of you that can't fly.

Brady: I'm not letting anything happen to anyone!

Naomi: You better not!.... What's that noise? It sounds like it's coming from below us…

Unknown cloaked person: Get away from here now or I'll shoot your jet bikes down into the Rift! Who are you?

Brady: Are you with the CS?

Naomi: Who is this clown?

Unknown person: Clown?!?!?!?!? YOU DARE MOCK ME???? FEEL MY FURY!!!!!!!

*shoots at bike carrying Brady and Naomi*

Brady: *swerves out of range of the shot* Wha!

Naomi: Watch how you drive this thing!

EO: Cryptic? Is that you?

Ace: If you're an enemy, I hope you know I will kill you, right?

Character Descriptions

Hello all!

It would appear that our lovely story has taken quite a few turns thus far. Never fear, there are plenty more to come!

Perhaps ‘tis suitable to expound upon the descriptions of our characters. Many new beings have joined our tale. It would seems that new information has been revealed concerning the older characters as well.

Below are the descriptions of most of the characters you have encountered thus far.

DJ:

A human being who has an other: Iul (aka, EO, EODJ, or EDJ). Fairly tall (about 6') and only slightly muscular. He is an extremely powerful lance master and has mastered the arts of both light and wind magic. He is devoted to the forces of good and his friends. It would appear that, on occasion, DJ and EO combine into one body, seemingly good at times, but at other moments can be overcome with a wave of terrible evil. (However, this occurs very rarely) He is dependable, intelligent, and very strategic.

EO:

The Evil Other of DJ, which is why he is called EO. In reality, his name is Iul, although this name is rarely used. He was once in an alliance with DJ, but an argument broke that alliance, and EO promptly joined the ranks of the Evil, swearing revenge on DJ. He is a master of the mental arts, and can easily sway others to do things against their better judgment. He is also a very good swordsman.

Lui:

Lui was created out of the positive side of DJ’s personality, at the same time as EDJ/Iul. He has a much more meek personality than either DJ or Iul, but is much friendlier than either. He is very trusting of his friends, and would go to great lengths to protect them. While Lui was also trained in the art of the sword, this is not his greatest strength. He possesses the ability to perform lightning magic, but he is very much the pacifist, and would rather avoid conflict when possible. He is a somewhat naïve person, but this is part of his charm.

Hanna: Savannah's Evil Other

Hanna was once human, but is now a superhuman. Long story short: an experimental project infused human genes with those of a particular animal and gave several humans powers in order to protect Earth from evil. She has the genes of the black swan, giving her the abilities of flight as well as the generation and manipulation of ice. Because of their small size, her black wings are usually only noticeable while flying. She battles with a specialized sword which capitalizes on her ice abilities. She is an evil other; however, she deeply loathes this fact and diligently struggles to keep that evil under control. She can act cold and cynical, even to the point of being considered heartless. However, this is simply one of the many barriers that she puts up to keep herself and those she loves from harm. She claims that in the past she has been betrayed by those close to her. For this reason, she is very distrusting when meeting new people, particularly those who claim to be helping her. Hanna also has a very low level of self-confidence. She believes that, because she is an evil other, she is doomed to failure and her friends are better off without her. In spite of this, or perhaps because of it, she is very compassionate when it comes to encouraging someone else. She cares very much for her current friends and would do almost anything to protect them; including distancing herself and keeping her own problems secret. Despite the pretense of enjoying isolation, Hanna enjoys her friends’ company. She also enjoys the snow, playing the piano and a friendly game of chess every now and then. Her best friend is Hairam, a fellow member of the superhuman project with powers of fire and invisibility. Hanna secretly loves someone, though is oblivious to how apparent it has become. On the whole, Hanna desperately tries to keep her emotions in check, but becomes angered easily when lives are endangered. Because of her constant self-doubt, she easily falls prey to tactics of demoralization and persuasion. She will easily risk her life to save someone else’s.

Hanna's Evil Side:



The side of Hanna that shows when evil overpowers her control. Hanna frequently refers to this evil presence in the third person; even though she IS Hanna. She can't stand that her evil power is kept restrained and waits for the day to unleash it on the unsuspecting innocents. She hates DJ, Lui, Hairam, and anyone else who befriends her kinder nature. It becomes apparent that this evil has overcome Hanna's restraining control when Hanna’s eyes turn from the normal blue-grey color to blood red.

Misty:

Misty is a human that lives in Thorae. She does have an Evil other, Eve. Even though humans don't usually live in Thorae, she does and the only reason for that is to keep Eve in check. Misty keeps Eve there so that she doesn't cause more damage then she already has. Misty is usually very optimistic about things, but she wasn't always. In fact, not too long ago, her sister was probably killed by Eve. I say probably because Misty is not certain whether she was or not, but she hasn't seen Enya since. That hurt her very much and sometimes still does. Misty fears that Eve will hurt others, and she couldn't bare to have more pain in her life. So she has dedicated herself to helping others with their Evil Others. That's one reason she is helping DJ and Hanna find Lui. Misty is a very kind, intelligent and thoughtful of the others around her. She HATES it when people argue and usually threatens to give them the happy pill. She has great leadership skills, but doesn't realize it. And if she does (which is unknown to us) she chooses not to use them for fear that her decisions would hurt those around her. She does get aggravated though sometimes and might yell at people. But that is very rare. Usually she just gets frustrated and might storm off to be by herself. But she tries to keep that under control. She carries a bag at all times filled with food, medicine and her herbs, along with some other things. She carries a bow on her shoulder and arrows on her bag, but rarely finds she has to use them. In the event that she does, she mixes some herbs together, sticks them to the tip of the arrow and grazes either the cheek, arm or leg of who she's shooting at. She never shoots to kill. What the mixture does depends on what herbs she used. She has a falcon, Talon, who comes to her aid when she needs him. As of now she is renting an office at HQ where she can keep her papers and see who needs help with their own EOs.

Ace:

Ace is a leader-type other who's origins are still a mystery. His original is in pursuit of him constantly, as Ace consistently tries to avoid him for some unknown reason. He is a caring person on some standard, and he will do anything to protect Hanna and party to accomplish their goals. Ace is like night and day compared to his younger brother, Jester, and they constantly bicker on decisions. He is quite skilled in melee combat, and despite his rather large build, his fighting style is surprisingly swift and highly refined. While Ace is a diligent warrior on the battlefield, he is actually a great cook and has a sweet tooth like no other. Hard he may seem on the outside, he has a soft spot in his heart for dogs.

Jester:

Jester is an Evil other of the same origin of Ace. Being Ace's little brother, he is often overlooked when it comes to skill. Jester, though a younger brother, lives in no shadow of Ace; he has mastered all elements of combat, whereas Ace has only mastered Rock type. Though he is an Evil Other, he knows how to control his fiery demeanor. He was left in charge of the Organization of Rebellious Others while Lady Naomi is away on the mission with DJ and party. He wants everybody to think he has no weaknesses, and does a good job of concealing his emotions, while other times he is overly-dramatic on purpose. Though he seems like he is uncaring, he actually has deep affection for those he works around, and would easily put his life on the line to get what he wants. A secret agent and secret admirer all the same, he is a dangerous foe, or valuable ally.

Naomi:

This sixteen-year-old catgirl is the leader of the OoRO, and she absolutely adores strong boys. How she got to become their leader is yet unknown, but she is saving her power for the day she will need it most. She lost her father and brother two years ago in a raid on Earth, and was forced to escape from Earth to Thorae in search of safety. She is skilled in the ways of the ninja, using only two chakram (small knives) to fight. She is a master of the Fire element, and she is quick to temper, so watch your words around her. Several people have crushed on her in the past, though she is currently quite unattached at the moment. Her thieving abilities mean her groups never go hungry. Her features and voice would leave a person to believe she is years older than she really is, though make any remark of the type and you are sure to have a red mark on face and your eyebrows singed off. She loves to brew new types of coffee in her spare time, and often goes on supposed "missions" to gather ingredients, rather than doing her duties.

Hairam: Christina’s Other

Hairam was given powers to protect Earth, being a member of the same project as Hanna. Hairam was infused with the genes of a red fox. She can control fire and has the power of invisibility. She at one point had her evil locked up like Hanna. However, this evil became so strong that she eventually separated her evil self from her and locked her in a mirror. This evil part of her calls herself Ember. Hairam fears that if she comes too close to her evil reflection, Ember will be able to pull her through and switch their places causing her to become trapped while Ember roams free. What she does not know is that Ember is in the other world via the mirror. Though for some reason, she cannot get back to earth without assistance. Hairam never told Hanna about Ember for fear that this knowledge would disrupt Hanna’s control over her own evil. Hairam generally tries her hardest to keep a positive outlook in life (partially for Hanna’s sake). She is Hanna’s best friend and is always trying to find ways to make her happy.

Brady:

Brady is a very mysterious, yet kind and caring being who is searching for Ace and Jester, claiming they stole something from him. He has a unique blade that can't really be called a sword, called the Castora's Edge. He possesses the Shadow Thunder combat element, as opposed to Light Thunder, and can easily beat the toughest adversary. He currently has partied up with Hairam for the moment, helping her in her search for Hanna. He is best friends with his pet, a wolf named Alec, who waits patiently for him at home. Wherever he goes, strange happenings are sure to follow.

EO: Wait, is this the portal to the mystical other world, Thorae?

Heroic voice: Yes it is! Remind me to thank you later!
*Person with dark hair runs past them to the portal* You coming or what? *Steps into portal*

EO: Umm, yeah I guess. *steps into portal* Who are you?

Heroic guy: None of your business, you evil other! What’s it to YOU anyway?

Hairam: Evil other? What are you talking about?

Heroic guy: That guy over there. He's evil DJ, right?

Hairam: No, he's not... he can't be! Who are you?!

Heroic guy: The name's Brady. I've got business in Thorae. Do you?

Hairam: I'm not quite sure. I'm looking for someone. Are you sure this is Evil DJ?

Brady: Well it certainly isn't DJ. And who else would have anything to do up here? Will you come with me then? I know my way around the place.

Hairam: If this guy really IS EDJ then there is no reason to go with... *looks around* Where did he go?!?

Brady: *sigh* Let's go while he's gone. He'll be a burden wherever he goes. What's your name, fox-girl?

Hairam: Sorry about that, my name is Hairam. Where are we going?

Brady: To Thorae. I'm looking for someone, too. Do you want to search together?

Hairam: Ok.

*scene switches to Thoraen group*

Ace: The Latum Forest is a place of legend. It is said the trees there can hear.

Naomi: And on occasions, speak...

Ace: Do you have speaking trees on Earth?

Hanna: That's somewhat a debatable question. There might be, but until I meet one I would say no. How long do you think it will take us to get through?

DJ: Good question...I was wondering the same thing. Talking trees?!?!?!?

Naomi: I always go there to get more ingredients for my coffee and they've never talked to me.

Ace: It's just a myth. Anyway, the forest begins about a mile west of here.

Naomi: Actually, it's up this ice shelf right here. We'll have to climb up it. You brought climbing gear, right?
*subtly takes of shoulder pouch. Pulls out hoists and grip gloves.*

Hanna: I won't need it. You have any climbing gear for DJ? I could try air-lifting him, though I'm doubtful about how far I'll get.

Naomi: Teehee! I don't need it, silly, and neither does Ace. This is for DJ. Though I forgot you had wings...

Ace: These woods certainly hold some ill will I have not felt in quite some time...I wonder... Do you know of this Hairam person being in Thorae at all?

DJ: I feel strange now that you mention it... Perhaps EO is here too?

Ace: I feel a presence I haven't felt in months. And I don't like it. Let's get up this shelf as soon as possible.

Naomi: Evil DJ is so daring...I love it! Why didn't you bring him with you? >:(

Hanna: I would not take that kind of risk, he's dangerous. Aggravatingly annoying, yes, but dangerous all the same. There could be disastrous results if he is here. Why would Hairam be here?

Ace: She should be searching for you at this point. I can feel it. She is worried for you. If she knew you were here, she also would have come here. We're almost to the top. I hope you brought some kind of sword other than that Ice Sword of yours. Later it will really matter. Did you bring something else?

Hanna: Umm... no. I don't have another sword, sorry. Hairam is....really here? Ember said that Hairam thought I was dead.

Ace: If she was truly your friend then she would find out for herself, I would like to think.

Naomi: Here we are. The eastern entrance to Latum Forest. Keep your wits about you in here, ok?

Hanna: Fine by me.

DJ: You got it Naomi...I'll be paying close attention to my surroundings. Is it a very big forest?

Naomi: It's not a very big forest to the southwest, however, it expands for miles in the north and northwest. We are, unfortunately going through the northwest, which I have only ventured to once.

Ace: It'll be worth it, though. If we go southwest then we will eventually have to pass Gaea Rift at it's largest point where there is no bridge. The forest should be the least of our worries. A few feral beasts here and there, maybe, but nothing we can't handle. Let's enter now.

*They take a few steps into the forest. The snow begins to turn to slush, and slush to water, and it is absorbed by the spongy ground*

Naomi: Yechk. This time of year the east entrance is nothing but a big swamp.

Ace: No worries, I'll use my rock abilities to harden the ground here.

*holds right arm parallel to the ground* *mud begins to instantly dry and harden*

Ace: There. It should be easier to cross now.

Hanna: Aww, I like slush.

Naomi: By the way, did any of you notice what happened to Misty?

Hanna: Misty must have disappeared again. Where do you think she keeps going?

Ace: I thought you sent her on a mission, Lady Naomi.

Naomi: I did no such thing!

Ace: I'm sure she'll be fine, anyway.

*growling in heard from a nearby bush*

Naomi: What was that?

Hanna: I have no idea. *draws sword* What kind of animals did you say roam these parts?

Ace: Wolves do hunt here at night...but...

Naomi: This is no wolf... *tiger-like animal jumps from the bushes and pins Naomi on the ground*

Ace: Uh-oh!! *Ace lifts the beast off her and tosses it against a tree.* Take that! A little help?


Hanna: Certainly! *Rushes toward the creature ready to strike with sword* Yeeeeeaaaaah!!!! *Slashes several times* What IS this thing?!?!

Ace: Never seen it before in my life! *stabs the beast* *beast screeches loudly*

Naomi: *covers ears* Silence!! *blast several dozen fireballs* *tiger thing begins to run*

Voice from behind: NO!!! Why are you running away?! You dumb thing!!!

Ace: Who are YOU?!

Sneering youth: It doesn't matter who I am, ‘cause I've got all your money! *Hold up Hanna's billfold* What're you gonna do about it? Hahahaha! *runs away*

Hanna: .....was that mine? *checks belongings* Hey, that IS mine!!! Why that sneaky little pest!! Too bad for him though, I'm not accustomed to carrying large amounts of cash on my person. Do you want to continue or do you want to go hunt down the thief? Personally, I'd rather continue.

Ace: Let's forget about him. I trust you have more money on your credit card, anyway.

Naomi: He must have grabbed your wallet while you were distracted with the tiger thing. I hope we don't run into anymore bandits on the way, right?

Hanna: Indeed. *sheathes sword and resumes walking* So, Naomi, you say you've been here before?

*Misty walks up*

Misty: I'm here. I've been here the whole time. Just a little bit behind ya'll. Sorry bout that. I was thinking. Oh by the way. I ran in to some guy that had a bag of money in his hand. It looked like yours Hanna, so I took it. Is it? *holds out bag for Hanna to see*

Hanna: Yes. *Slowly takes it from Misty* Umm... you didn't have to do that... thank you. How did you get up that wall back there?

Misty: Easily. If you go to the side there are stairs. Didn't you guys take those?

Hanna: Hmm... must have missed that.

Misty: Yeah I guess.

Hanna: Did you hear about EDJ and Hairam?

Misty: No. I thought EDJ was on Earth?

Hanna: Apparently Ace and DJ believe EDJ and a friend of mine are here.

Misty: But I thought he was stuck in ice? Strange.

Hanna: He must have escaped. I was hoping it would hold him longer than that.
You did see us fight Ember back there, right?

Misty: Yeah. Who was she?

Hanna: Ember said that she was the evil other of my best friend. She told me that Hairam thinks I'm dead. Do you think that's true? She could have been lying again...

Misty: I'm not sure. Sometimes I'm not sure what to think anymore. But I don't think she thinks that. What do you think?

Hanna: I think you put too many thinks in your sentence so now I'm not sure what I think you think she thinks... To answer your intended question, I'm afraid of what might happen if Hairam really thinks I'm dead.

Misty: I think that... oh forget it.

Hanna: Have you ever been in these parts before?

Misty: Nope, I've never been here. Where are we headed anyway? I thought we were headed to the portal! I'm so confused!

Hanna: We are... I think. What do you believe will happen if EDJ or Hairam finds us?

Misty: I think that a big fight will break out between DJ, EDJ, and maybe you too. Hairam will find you and be real happy to see you’re not dead. Oh and we will defeat EDJ once and for all. *laughs* What do you think?

Hanna: If only I were as optimistic... What makes you so optimistic all the time?

Misty: *shrugs* I don't know. It's better to be that then depressed all the time. Right?

Ace: *dismayed* This chattering is useless. Let's get a move on. I, personally, am hard-pressed for time.

Naomi: Oh...Ace...he's in Thorae isn't he? :(

Ace: Yes, definitely. And close, too. I really hoped we'd at least have been across Gaea Rift by now...And someone else is with him... Did you say someone was looking for you, Hanna?

Misty: errr... we were walking while talking. Duh! Where are we headed? I thought we were going to the portal.

*EDJ, now inside Thorae*

EO talking to self: Now, if I were DJ, where would I go?

*back to group*

DJ: I think we're going to the portal on the other side of Thorae...not the one we came through originally. Would that be more reasonable, considering the direction we're traveling?

Misty: That would make more sense. Because I don't remember passing through here when we first arrived.

Ace: Lady Naomi, I think I've found the plant you've been looking for....Lady Naomi? *Looks around the group* Did any of you notice where Naomi went?

Hanna: Uhh... no. *looks around* This isn't good, is it?

Ace: No, it isn't. Listen....take this cell phone and dial 1 if I'm not back in an hour or you get out of the forest. Just keep going. I'll catch up to you later...Oh, and if I don't pick up..........I died.

*runs off and shouts from a distance* And don't tell anybody by the name of Brady where I am! Remember, just keep going, ok?

Hanna: Umm... sure thing. *Quizzically looks at the cell phone* .....what a bizarre day..... Anyway, I guess we just keep going then. *continues walking* I wonder what he meant by this Brady person...

*scene once again switches to the party of Brady and Hairam.*

Brady: Look...footprints. Fresh, too. Only about a few hours old...yep. They're heading west. *Mutters under breath* You've made quite some terrible time, Ace, for you to be THIS close. So, your name is Hairam, is it? *smiles nicely*

Hairam: Um... yes. And yours is Brady, right?

Brady: Yup. So you're looking for someone by the name of Hanna...can't say that I've met any significant Hannas lately. Tell me...what would you do if you did find her?

Hairam: If I do find her, I don't know. I came to help her, but I don't know if she is even alive anymore. I hope she is, but I don't know. Do you think she is still alive?

Brady: If she's with Ace, then she's alive. Trust me. *assuring smile* *whispers* Don't do anything stupid, Ace. And Jester better be with you.
Back there is the HQ of my other's occupation. Up ahead is Latum Forest, right on top of that ice shelf. How good are you at climbing?

Hairam: Pretty good. Is Ace your other?

Brady: Yeah. He stole something from me. I'm trying to get it back... Oh and I just remembered never mind the climbing thing. There are stairs right....over....here. Come on. We don't have much time.
*climbs stairs quickly. Steps inside the forest* Hmmm...the ground has been hardened. It's usually a frothing bog this time of year. Ace must have done this. They have a big party, I can tell. They've been really slow. And I also saw evidence of a fight back there. There was blood and ash. Do you by chance know someone with the fire element?

Hairam: Other than me, no. Do you think my evil other knows I'm here?

Brady: I hope not. Seems everyone has an evil other these days. Not even an hour ago Ace's party came through here. Fools. They are heading through the Northwest of the forest. It will be easy to cut them off from there.

Familiar voice: Hey! You!

Brady: Hmm? Who are you and what do you want?

Bandit: Can I ask you a favor?

Brady: We're a bit busy at the moment. Go away.

Bandit: I know who you're talking about...

Brady: What?

Bandit: I know this Ace guy and his party. They passed by here not too long ago. I can tell you which way they went....

Brady: Then tell me.

Bandit: That's where the favor comes in. You see... he stole something from me. Very precious....and--

Brady: We're doing fine without your help. I happen to be an expert tracker. Now go away.

*shocks the bandit against a tree with a beam of purple lightning.*

Brady: You think I'm gonna fall for a trick like that? Let's go, Hairam. We're wasting time with this guy. *Runs for a while* Do you know Hanna's purposes for being in Thorae?

Hairam: No. It must have been something very important for her to go so long without contacting me. Maybe she's trying to help someone? She doesn't like quitting when she knows someone needs her help.

Brady: Maybe so...wait. I hear someone....Don't move. Who's there?

Faint voice: h-help..m-mee....

Brady: They're close. *turns around* *sees Naomi tangled in vines against a tree* Naomi?! Hang on! I'll get you down! Hey, Hairam, can you burn the roots of this tree for me?

Hairam: Sure. *Burns roots* Is she a friend of yours?

*vines become dry and brittle*
Brady: Sure, you could say that. Thanks. Hold on, Naomi...*slashes vines. Naomi falls into Brady's arms* Gotcha. Naomi, are you ok?

Naomi: ....I...what happened...who are...you?

Brady: You don't remember me?

Naomi: Brady...? Is that you?

Brady: What happened? Are you alright?

Naomi: I was...walking with Ace and the others...

Brady: Here. Drink this. *hands Naomi a vial filled with a thick liquid*

Naomi: *sigh* Ahhh...thank you. That's better. *stares at Brady for a while* Ummm...you can put me down now...*blushes*

Brady: *a bit flustered* Oh, umm, right. *lets go of Naomi* Sorry 'bout that. Which way did Ace and his party go?

Naomi: We were heading northwest, when all of a sudden this tree's vines just snatched me up out of nowhere!

Brady: Ace probably came back to look for you. We should just wait for him, then. Wait...do you hear something?

*Hairam's fox ears pick up the sound*

Hairam: Yes, I can't quite tell what it is though. What do you think it is?

Brady: I think it's Ace. Let's listen...

Naomi: ...*perks one ear up and folds the other down to hear better, rather playfully* It IS Ace. He's calling for me. Should I answer?

Brady: No, let him come to us. He's on our path.

Naomi: *whispers* You're Hairam, right?

Hairam: Yes. Were you with Hanna?

Naomi: Yeah. I've heard so much about you. Nice to finally meet you! I'm Naomi. Leader of the Rebellion of Thorae.

Brady: Here he comes...*Castora's Edge begins glowing* Should we ambush him?

Ace: Naoooooomiiiii?!

Hairam: *Whispers* He sounds worried. Why do you dislike him so much?

Brady: I don't dislike him, but we need to ambush him or he'll run away.

Naomi: Are you two ready, then?

Brady: Yeah...

Hairam: Uh... sure. *Readies bow and a few arrows* He's here.

Brady: Aaaaaace!!! *jumps at Ace and pins him down*

Ace: What?! I knew it! I knew you were here! Grrrrr! And who's that with you?!

Hairam: Who, me? I'm Hairam. Where's Hanna?

*EO, who, after having departed previously, attaches set of artificially grown wings to back*

EO: Wow, it's been so long since I've been here! The forest has grown quite a bit since I left... Ok DJ, where are you?

Ah, is that him down there in that clearing? Yes, it is him, and it would seem that both Hanna and Misty are with him...I think I'll just land a few hundred yards away where I can get close without being detected. But what is he doing in the forest?

Hanna: I wonder if Ace found Naomi yet. Maybe one of us should have gone with him. Do you think we should call him?

DJ: It might be a good idea... Has it already been an hour?

Hanna: I'm not entirely sure. It could seem like hours when, in actuality, it could have only been minutes. Do you think we're almost out of this forest yet?

DJ: Yeah, it seems a little brighter through those trees over there. *suddenly gets cold chills throughout entire body* What's happening????

Hanna: *Stops* DJ? Are you ok? What's wrong?

DJ: EO.....he's here, I can feel it. He's close too...we've got to hurry! How did he find us?

Hanna: I don't know. He better know what kind of load of pain he's in for... Be careful, alright?

Misty: Yeah DJ, be careful! I think we should more then ever now. What do you think, Hanna?

Hanna: Especially now. You're still coming with us, Misty?

Misty: Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?

Hanna: I'm just surprised that you're still helping someone you hardly know.

Misty: Yeah well, I don't know. *thinks to self* I just don't want anyone else hurt by their other.

Hanna: You ready?

Misty: Yeah I'm ready. Should we continue without Ace?

Hanna: He told us to, but I'm starting to worry. Someone with his abilities would not take so long. Do you think I should call him now?

Misty: *checks watch* It has been an hour. *Pulls phone out of bag* Here. *hands phone to Hanna* Which button do you press?

Hanna: I think he said to dial 1. *Hands phone back to Misty* You do it.

Misty: Ok. *dials*

*ring, ring. Answering machine picks up* "Hi, this is Ace. I'm not available right now because I'm either fighting monsters or running for my life. So just try back later"

Misty: He's not answering. Do you think he's in trouble?

Hanna: ....That....is not good. He said that if he didn't pick up that he was..... This is bad. What should we do?

Misty: I don't know. Maybe we should go find him? What do you think?

Hanna: We're almost out of the forest. Let's walk a little bit and wait on the other side. If he doesn't show up soon, I'll go back. Fair enough?

Misty: Ok that works. What do you think is on the other side?

Hanna: Less trees for one thing. I think Ace said there was some sort of rift that we had to cross. Things seem to be getting far more complicated, wouldn't you agree?

Misty: Most definitely. What do you think Lui is doing right now?

Hanna: I can only imagine what he must be going through... *looks down and says quietly* ...because of me. How much longer do you think he can survive in that thing?

Misty: What thing? I thought he was here? Ok now I'm REALLY confused!

Hanna: The portal/mirror thing. Wasn't he still in there?

Misty: I don't know anymore. I guess so. Are you as confused as I am?

Hanna: Possibly less so, no offense meant. What do you think happened to Naomi?

Misty: I don't know. Maybe she got kidnapped by the burglar! Hmmm... very unlikely though. What do you think happened?
